I say 2wd bc I don't see any front axles but most people say it's a 4wd bc you see a battery on the right and motor on the left.
Only time will tell. B7.1? (2wd) B74.3? (4wd) B84 (new 4wd series?)
Makes sense if it is a new 4wd as the B74.2 has been out since late 2022 and it's been out of stock.

Well they should have taken a little sandpaper to the molded edges of this housing. This makes whatever this buggy is look VERY cheap.

Also I'd like to point out that D arm block. Guess they flipped it so it's more LCG?
Also it seems like that block and most likely they chassis is less wide than mine so that's why I was also thinking 2wd unless they're making this supposedly 4wd super light weight therefore a less wide chassis can support it.

Here's mine:

Think it's 4wd. You see front axles

Although that front bulkhead and shock tower design looks like it's 2wd technology. Shock tower is like slanted while current 4wds are straight up/down and you see for how the shock tower is mounted it goes wide to like fit a body underneath it. All in all, new 4wd with 2wd technology?

But back to the front axles thing. Picture in this post you can see them but AEs pictures it's either a 2wd or they Photoshopped them out or something.

$640 😲 for a 1/10 scale? omg, wtf.
Speed. I am speed

Better than Xray. Xray is (dirt) 660-685 (carpet) depending on version

And don't get me started in Tamiya TRF touring cars 😅🤣

This new B84 has a lot of plastic I see. Lightweight I guess means faster. Also I see a new redesigned rear chassis brace.
Also see the front steering it doesn't have the aluminum center piece like my .1 has shown here:

With that new steering design with less bracing hopefully it can still track straight.

i don't care if its 2001 Britney Spears and the $640 is for a lap dance. just no!

Cool stuff! Thanks for posting. It does look fast.

I'll just take an old skool YZ-10 Yokomo. I'm sentimental like that :D Kyosho Lazer? HA. Would be interesting if someone did a compare. New stuff v Old stuff. Race stuff. And on dirt. Not clay, not carpet. loose as a goose. Gone are those days, I suppose.

That price point is a bit nuts. And it's a kit. Sooooo...uhhm? Insert thinking emoji here.

I'll let you know how the Optima Mid does some day... 🙄🤣
When the NEW Optima Mid comes out, I'll compare them. 😍😎

This new B8 looks nice. I just wonder for how long the B7 will have parts support now.
Did the B7 have issues? Why replace so quickly? Seems quick to me at least. 🤷‍♀️

B7 is the 2wd buggy. That's still out, doing well and it's Xray's competitor lol. Previous line of the B6-B6.4
This is the new B84, previous line of the B74-B74.2 CE. (4wd Buggy)

Parts support shouldn't be an issue for popular parts bc I can still get arms hubs shock towers ect for my B74.1 (6 years old right now) although some parts like the main chassis has been discontinued so you could only find one used pre-owned or a shop has left over stock of it.
