I had been considering an aftermarket body for my trx4m bronco but decided to go for a scx24 build. I’m naming this one the black widow. It has the stock motor from one of my previous builds but if it has more potential to be a better crawler I might borrow the furitek brushless kit from my wrangler. What do you guys think?
I also met with my friend who loves carpentry, we came up with a scrap wood obstacle.

Cool build, but way overkill for micro crawlers. Building a course using expandinding foam with a framework using cardboard or rigid foam insulation will massively reduce the overall weight of the course.
Not trying to take away from your friend's build. I bet he had fun doing it for you.

Cool rig and built but I agree with @Xraycer , I believe it would belong in the 1/10 scale category.
What's cool about 1/24 scale is the fact that we can use anything to built obstacles.
Cool woodwork regardless.

I have seen a very similar obstacle back a few years ago in a rc shop with a indoor crawler course. It was made outa old rolling pins ..place burnt down a few back there's a candle store there now kinda ironic to me.LOL

Lookin' good, I would go ahead and move the Furitek from the Wrangler, as I think you would get more benefit from it in you Black Widow. Obstacle is cool and highly portable which is a plus. :thumbs-up:

Yes! Big stage. I’m gathering all of those old toys from when my kids were young. Teddy bears as audience and fireworks at the end of it, heck! Even a couple of barbie dolls cheering the winner 😂.
All seriousness, we came up with it in about and hour and no money was involved in the making of it.
I’d appreciate you guys sharing any obstacles you’ve made for yours, maybe next one will be better.
Thanks Doom, I agree. The only reason I upgraded wrangler is because I lost the controller 🤦🏻‍♂️

I swapped the lizard pro and micro Komodo as well as the meus racing axels to the black widow. I’ll give it a try soon.

Thanks 👍. I went with the isokinetic ones.
That's the ones I bought. Note: the new Torq and Ecopower servos with the built-in mounting lugs (that replaces the servo mount) do not fit those axles. In fact, only Meus servo mounts fit them, which is really strange. Great axles though other than that.
