Well I finally lucked up and caught a sweet deal on a Raptor .30 V.2 w/TT .39 engine. Has full JR equipment.....XP6102 Tx w/770 Rx, G500T gyro w/810G rudder servo and std. servos for the rest of it. I have been wanting a Raptor for a few years and finally got one.

I've only hovered it a few times but it is extremely smooth and stable. Control is nice and subtle and doesn't tend to have a mind of its own. I'm going to snap a few pics this Sunday at the field and I'll get them posted. I can already tell that this bird is going to fly so much better than the previous .30 size helis I've had. Can't wait........woooooohoooooooo.........

That is awesome. I still haven't grown the balls to invest in a nitro heli. They are scary. I'm still hoping to scarf up a T-Rex to work on over the winter. That'll let me practice in the backyard. Then maybe I'll step up to nitro.

This is the 3rd nitro I've had in the past few years. First two were Century Hawks, good heli for the money but the Raptor is so much sweeter.

Candyman - If you can fly the mini/micro electric heli's, the .30 size and up wouldn't be a problem bro. Bigger they are, the better and more stable they fly....

And as my luck would have it, I've had crappy weather here since Friday.....so no flying this weekend. I'm hoping the weather will clear by Monday so I can fly after work.......we'll see....

Thanks bud....they are a little tricky to fly but after some time on a good sim, their not too bad......I'm still taking it slow and I've been flying off and on for about 2 years now.......LOL.....

I think I saw a crazy vid that was posted here of a nitro heli. The pilot has mad skills. Always wanted to try it but I will stick to my little micro coptor I got at my LHS and I have yet to fly that as I am afraid of getting dizzy. LOL

Nice vid NB. It looks pimp.

That things fricken awesome. I had a Kyosho one for a few weeks and it intimidated the hell out of me.. Now its intimidated Zandor at his house..lol

You made it further than me... I just looked at it and pee'd a little.

Thanks guys..........I did a few loops with the Raptor yesterday, scared me a little as I didn't know if the heli would pull it off without losing alot of altitude. Needless to say, it was smooth as butter.....

Z-Man, what you got? Drop me a PM bro......
