If it's a 1/10 revo or summit, sure. If it's a true 1/10 it is possible, people have in stampedes. Besides looking goofy, the driveshafts, axles, steering blocks etc will be a weak point. Your motor and esc temps will more than likely go up also. With that said somethings are best left undone. I'm gonna say this is one.

If your set on it, strc makes 14mm hexes for such applications. Other companies make 17mm.

I would think the 3.8s would be a overkill on the 1/10 rig.
Far too many things to worry about as @Chubaka mentioned.
With anything like the Revo, you may have a tough time keeping it upright.

Thank you that's what I needed to know I appreciate the info. So r the 2.8 ok for 1/10 I'm still relatively new to the rc world

Not sure what 1/10 scale platform you have. Some 1/10 scale platforms do actually come standard with 3.8" wheels. My biggest fear of using larger than normal wheels/tires would be the shocks bottoming out before the chassis smacking the ground. Some people have gone to the trouble of testing all kinds of wheel/tire configurations during builds on their RCs, and have recorded their good/bad findings.

Being more specific about what platform you have will help the RCTalk community better answer your question(s).

I would stay with stock one unless you plan to upgrade the whole drivetrain then you could go with the bigger tires. Stock drivetrain would break under that amount of stress.
