My last threada title was a bit odd, hope this one gets more attention. Alright, I'm trying to get a nice radio for as close to 100 dollars used or new that will last me a season or two. My options are looking like

New flysky ft3c

Used hitec lynx 3d ( I used to have one, loved it )

Used airtronics m8 (lots of my track mates used to use these.)

I can get a synth hitec tx, and three xtal rx's for under a bill, seems like a steal.

I'm not sure if I need 2.4, I have never had it, and now with every one having it, i think that having three diff sets of xtals, a synth tx, and the ability to use synth fm rx's will be fine..

What do you think?

check out NitroRCX.com all the guys at the track I go to are switching to these and love them, and they are cheap. They must sell good because they have a hard time keeping them in stock

Most everybody is using a 2.4 for a reason. Faster, better range and zero chance of being on the same channel as someone else. Do yourself a favor and get a 2.4.
