I just received the Meus Racing honeycomb four-light kit for my H10 Optic. These are the first lights I've ever purchased. They come pre-wired with a control module of some sort in-line and no instructions regarding operation. I plugged the lights into my receiver's Channel 3 slot and they come on steady. I was hoping hitting the Channel 3 button on my transmitter would enable me to turn them on and off. It doesn't; they stayed on regardless of my pushing the button. (I'm using a Flysky GT-3B transmitter and their FS-3RGE receiver, which has slots for channels 1-3 plus a "VCG" slot.)

When I tried adjusting the end points of Channel 3 to see if that had any effect, it put the lights into a pulse mode, then strobe mode, sometimes with varying brightness, and seemingly with no relation to the end point direction or percentages I was moving through. The Channel 3 button on my transmitter still had no effect on tuning the lights on and off or changing the modes.

I'd like to have them on steadily and be able to switch them on and off with the Channel 3 button on my transmitter. I'm starting to think that this isn't possible with my three-channel radio. I don't mind them being on all the time but it would be nice to be able to switch them off via the transmitter.

Is it possible? I'll send a query to Meus Racing.

It’s supposed to come with the switch. I got one of these light kits somewhere and a rig with same rx/tx setup nearby. I’ll see what it does
Thanks. The kit does have their "AUX Controller" wired in line. I'm starting to wonder if the issue is with my radio.

The GT-3B has a "CH3 Trim" adjustment (self-centering momentary action two-direction button) just above the Channel 3 button. When I use it, the display changes to indicate that it's adjusting Channel 1, not Channel 3. When I set the transmitter to "trim" mode, it only offers setting Channel 1 and 2 trim. What the...?

Unfortunately it’s going to be the way that light controller is configured. It cycles through a few light/strobe modes. Does the same if you use the switch on the controller to turn on n off

Don't laugh, but I didn't think that the little rectangular thing on the light controller was a switch! I gave it a squeeze when I was installing the lights and it didn't click, so I thought it was just some electrical component. Turns out I need to do it with my fingernail instead of my apparently-too-soft-to-activate-it fingertip.

Knowing that I can easily turn the lights on and off using that switch is the next best thing to being able to do it with the transmitter. I can reach the switch easily through the Optic's side cover.

Thanks... problem solved. :thumbs-up:

If I can install the switch mrgoodwrench35 recommended to enable this from the transmitter, it will be frosting on the cake.

The switch I posted will allow simple on/off. I have a similar light kit with the same type of button you have and had to add the switch to be able to satisfy my obsession with controlling things from the remote. Thats also why 3ch is never enough for me, lol.

Excellent. I have the switch in my shopping cart and will get it with my next order. Thanks again!

I like this Meus four-light kit with the honeycomb style lights. The individual lights are made up of tiny parts and are a bit fidgety to assemble (for you fly tyers, it's a bit like tying size 20 dries) but nicely made. The trick to getting them to fit together properly is to check for tiny bits of sprue and flash that are almost unnoticeable but will prevent proper fitting of the parts. Once trimmed, they go together perfectly.

I had to file down the bottom rear of the ones I used as headlights and also trim some plastic back from the cage behind the grill. No problem. I did it slowly with lots of test-fitting so that they're now held in securely without adhesives or fasteners.
