Well, as we all know, pushing our cars to the max with 3s batteries (and sometimes more) is a lot of fun... Until you break something. And that's what I might have done. I was running my RB10 on 3s for some fun in the street, when I wheelied and slid on the wing, I wasn't surprised. But when I slammed it back first into a curb, that might have broken it. I flip it back over and it sounds really squeaky. I took it inside, and I'm not seeing anything. Gear mesh is fine, everything else seems up to par. So I narrowed it down to something in the motor. I took a second to record some video, and it seemed a little better. I have no clue. It's a reedy 3300 kv brushless in a RB10! Thanks!

Ps idk if you can put video on RC Talk, so if you need some, lemme know!

Right off, its possible you've damaged the bearings. You're not supposed to run your motor without a pinion at high rpm...
"Additionally, be sure to fasten wiring securely as shaking can bring about control problems. Additionally, never drive at maximum power without a pinion gear, as exceptionally high RPMs without any load can damage the motor. Furthermore, to prevent loss of magnetism, the motor casing should be kept below 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees ..."

I am not sure what to say about the noise. It may just be bearings.🤷‍♀️
I would stop revving it up until you know whats wrong.
A seized bearing can do more damage internally.

Yeah that's how I destroyed a Traxxas velineon one time. I only ran it with no pinion pretty much for that time only. Also, small issue, one of the screws holding it in is not coming out 😑

Yeah. Bearings only take so much and then they are done. Is the screw head stripped or is it in the threads somewhere?
Or is it just REAL tight?

I was thinking maybe it had loktite on the screw so it would be a pain. Heating the screw up with a soldering iron can help loosen the loktite if thats whats happening. Rest the hot soldering tip on the head of the screw long enough to melt the loktite but not crazy hot.

It sounds like it may have a slight bearing issue in the motor. It may just be some dirt in there. Try flushing it out with some electronics cleaner then put a few drops of Liberty oil or similar bearing lube on the bearings. Make sure you watch for any shims in there when disassembling.

Try a torx bit to get that screw out. What kind of hex drivers do you have?

I'm gonna be real honest here, I have the Traxxas tool kit, but it sucks. I pretty much use the hex wrench from my trx-4 kit and any other random L-wrenches. Not the best, but it works for me until I have a bad screw

While the motor or at least the pinion is out, try to roll the car across a smooth, flat surface. Does it move easy and smooth or do you have gritty or binding feeling at all?
Try spinning the diffs to be sure they feel good too. Inpect for anything loose that might be adding to your noises.
If you aren't getting any problems, the sounds you hear may very well be normal.

I think I'd still double check those motor bearings.

Have you ever taken the truck apart for inspection? It might be time if its a little older and phantom problems start coming up.
A bad bearing or a bent shaft... little things make big problems sometimes.
