I agree with this for the most part. To me, an X-Maxx is overkill, but, there are quite a few cars out that are way more suited to that kind of punishment, and some that are even designed for the most part for it (Arrma Outcast 8S, or Kraton EXB are the first ones that comes to mind), but, Arrma's 3S and 4S line definitely arent suited for that much punishment. There is a trick you can try that may or may not work on the stock arms, that has been hit or miss for me in the past. Strip the truck completely, and spray the arms and chassis with WD-40, and let it sit for up to 24 hours, then, wipe off any excess and put it back together. It doesn't always work, but, it has on certain vehicles for me in the past, mostly Traxxas stuff. As for making what you have strong enough to withstand what you do with it, you could easily spend 2 to 3 times the price of an X-Maxx, and still have issues with it breaking, or, at the very least, bending expensive parts. Given how i use my RC stuff (some of what i do makes what you are doing look mild), I have learned, there is a limit to what they can and can't take, so, its either dont run them that hard, get something better suited to how you use it, or, get used to constantly fixing it. Me, i have just gotten used to fixing them when they break, which is why i have about a dozen cars, that way, when one is broke and I'm waiting on parts, i have others to beat on (i use mine for stress relief and anger management, so they get ran very hard a lot of the time). I know some may not agree with this, but, if you really want to know what can and can't take a lot of abuse, look up Kevin Talbot on YouTube. He tortures everything he gets his hands on, repeatedly. If it can survive Talbot, it can probably survive anyone.
