So I spent today trimming, shaving, sanding and painting the VDub body for my AX10 rock crawler R/C car. I decided to go jet black with no stripes or decals because I like things to be simple. I think I hit a home-run too, because I love how it looks. 100% better than I figured I would be able to do haha. Anyhow, here's a few pics on the workbench right after I got it back together.

One "before" pic of the stock body, although it looked WAY worse when I first got the thing. I shaved the wheel wells and fenders out because they looked ridiculous to me haha.

Looking good. First thing that will go out is gonna be the electronics. But other than that, make sure you lock tight the grub screws in the drivelines or they will be coming off everytime you drive and you will hate it!
Also, Ckrc has Rovers AND sedona's onsale right now for $12.99 a pair...Both as as good as it gets. Plus they are alot taller which gives you more clearance.

The stock foams are too small for them though but you can cut a layer off the stock ones and add it to the outside of your hammer foams... or buy other foams.
Proline dual stage are pretty popular and very newb friendly, no offense.

Looks good, I love my vdub baja on my ax10 too, now to start the hop-up part of your building :D

already started! it's sitting on rover white dots now, i have 3 oz of weight per front wheel, i relocated the lowers and uppers for a tad more ground clearance, i have custom delrin lowers now and aluminum drive shafts coming in the mail tomorrow. :)

Pics are always useful :D

Thanks! I wasn't able to take any pics today due to unexpected errands, but will get some up tomorrow. It has quite a few more scratches on it now, too! :)

Gotta keep it rubber side down, LOL!!!! JK!! scratches are unavoidable when it come to crawling unless you crawl like a certain MOD:rolex: on here would, LOL!!

Right? The first couple rollovers were... uncomfortable because it was so pretty. :D Now I don't give it a second thought haha.

Yeap, thats how it works. I'll reverse to save myself from a rollover when I get a new lid, but after a couple of times, then that is over with and I'm doing what ever it takes to get back on the tires without touching it which scratches the piss outta the lid but its worth it :D

Those links work for ya?

As soon as I flip a new body onto her lid once its on like donkey kong lol
