My Traxxas Mini Max- surprisingly satisfying

The mini maxx is a perfect size, I need to replace the esc so I can enjoy it again. My kid, he’s breaking more stuff than @majin ! He just broke the hypergo again yesterday. It sounds like the pinion is loose on the shaft

I purchased a new HW bl120 and an aluminum driveshaft from hot racing. I believe the driveshaft will transfer power to both diffs a little better. I imagine the plastic shaft twists so the rear gets most of the abuse, hence people blowing rear diffs first.
I also have the wide arm kit coming.
I’m thinking the hobbystar 3100kv motor will be swapped for a lower kv Tekin pro4 I have laying around to make it a little less psychotic.
I decided to not get a $70 center diff because some people showed in videos it had some clearance issues. Plus the driveshaft and the diff pinion gear you have to buy as well. You’re looking at just about $100.
Someone has reported you can use the $20 slash slipper. Of course there is the slipper for the mini maxx, either one also requires new driveshaft and pinion.

This is the best configuration on this car, pricewise for drivability and durability. Hot racing aluminum driveshaft, slash rear differential/stampede ring gear, HW BL120 G2 and a 3650 hobbystar 3100kv with a heat sink I had laying around on 3s. Stock shocks have been fine.
