This is my problem.

ah .....I see now ,I would just change radio gear ,there might be a short ,nothing to do with the engine!

Its almost like its not connected. It wont steer without doind the same thing as the throttle. I have tried binding it and it wont bind.

I am going to get a new reciever. Is a spektrum rs-200 work the same and use the same remote as a spektrum rs-201?

Guessing you meant SR200 vs SR201. It depends on the transmitter. I think their DSMR capable transmitters work with DSMR, DSM2 and DSM receivers. It appears both of those receivers are the older DSM version.
