What can I say a while back i fell into health issuse they took me off work not my choice and like other people struggling in life . Fell on hard times .had to sell my truck real 4x4 to live and said hey I'm buying a nirto truck .we'll baby I'm hooked i know theres better trucks but I love the savage .. I love it so much I've traded ever truck none savage for other savages. Just sending the last mgt out now today .. I meet a guy on here that is truly a awsume person he has helped me out in more ways then he even realizes. I dont sleep well and now waiting on the trucks to come in mail . I dont for shore now lol . Yes I'm a SAVAGE. And I love them like I said others have there favorits and mines a savage .. I have a x and xl right now one has 4.6 amd one the 5.9 got 3 more comeing yet in mail .. like if u need anything reach out to ED GANNEY in Ontario for what u need. Beleave me this guy is a solid guy wont rip u off .and will bend over back wards to help u out .. I can't thank u enough brother . I hope u read this. U have a brother for life my freind.. MLH&R.. Great to hear @Giggles , and sorry to hear about your health issues. I'm struggling myself.
You say there are better trucks than Savage but if it gives you hours upon hours of enjoyment then it's the best truck out there for you.
We would love to see pics of your rigs.

Sorry to read about you having to having to deal with a health issue. Hopefully your health (and life) has been on the upswing.
Nice to see that you found your inner Savage.

I have a soft spot for Savages and have several myself.
I still have (and run) the first one that I bought in 2002 when they first came out (it still has a handful of original parts), choosing the Savage over the TMAXX when transitioning from running on pavement to dirt.
The Savage was a beast by comparison, and it is a testimony to the design that it's still in production over 20 years later.
It is usually the first thing that I pull out and start up.

Many MT's came and went since they were introduced, and these things continue to truck along (and you can still buy parts for them).
Cudos to the TMAXX and Revo for their longevity too, but I'd still choose the Savage over the MAXX any day.

PS - I may be a , but nitro rules!

Sorry about your health issues. I have some that I deal with and the RC hobby definitely helps me cope with them. I’m a Nitro guy too. I don’t have a Savage but I do have a Savage clone, the 1/8 scale Exceed Mad Beast. Awesome truck. Hang in there and keep burning Nitro

I have my xl to bash around it was beat up when I got it and I've been not easy on it I'm shore . Learning is the key to do or not to do lol .

I've seen pics of some of what hes sending I'm so excited . .man I can't beleive how good of guy this guy is the trucks got new motors in them .. and sending pics . Its rc porn baby lol so pumped can't send thanks enough to ed ganney in Ontario . He helps so many people out ... thats why the love that started the habbit mgt the first I send to him all of what wasn't savage .. can't wait to see what he builds out of them .. and what hes sending me I can't wait . He's giving me so much help and the happiness and joy it gives me is just wild .. it helps me cope every day .. .had to drive 5 hrs to get fuel yeasterday but rather then them charging 80 on top to ship. In this world we living in its trully awsume to have a guy like ed . So if u nees anything id reach out to ed . He is awsume .and as stuff comes ill post here . Hope u all have a great day been up since 1am waiting for daylight and warm up some then its nitro time .. please post pics of your savages love seeing them any tips for new be tricks .. ideas to do . The Revo outhandled his Savage in tight turning but the Savage was faster in top end speed.

Monster trucks are so much fun to run and race!


Sounds like you made a friend up there in the Great White North! Its nice to find someone who knows RCs so well, who can help a person when they're stuck or find a rare part... I know a few Kyosho fans like that too.

I go just out of town theres a place got some dirt and stuff play around .. havent raced . I'm not great at driving by want to learn on these before the new ones come.. .. any nitro is fun . Just whened nuts over the savage

Looks like you are building a great collection. And, in my opinion, savages are hard to beat. I have zero desire to own any nitro monster truck besides the savages, tmaxx’s, and revo’s. So, I’m right there with you.


16 years ago I set in front of a team of oncologists that give me a 20% chance at living 3 years or less. Yesterday I poured and finished concrete. Monday I put on a shingle roof. Last week I installed plank tile to a basement floor. 1500sqft of it.


The point I’m making is it’s important to put fun into your life. It gives you purpose. And, it’s important to do it when you can. So, keep your head up. Keep your eye on the Lord and do what makes you happy. Life, no matter how much is left into precious not too.


Be proactive with your recovery and never give up.
