Alright PiErow, I'll give you the win with a working throttle servo haha.

So any updates Bruce?

after hearing bruce was getting one i got one also.I'm impressed with the fact the truck steers decent and brakes well right out of box.The shocks are weak IMHO.I'm very pleased so far.I dont have the pro version i bought the regular rtr and will upgrade as i go.The truck wheelies and i have not even begin to tune.Hopefully ill get some pics or vids up also. Thanks

wow i think my next truck will be a tnx. they look and sound soo cool. i still love my savy tho.

There just are not enoguh hop ups for it....and plus you have to find a really nice side exhaust .18.

Bruce caould you lost which hop ups you plan on doing ans which engine your dropping in when that one croaks?

I will be posting some pics tonight of what I got going on with it. I dont plan to swap out the regular RTR parts for the PRO parts till I run it at the track this weekend.

Those Hop Ups will be as follows
Pro-Line 23MM Hex
Pro-Line Yellow Wabash 40 Series,
Pro-Line 40 Series Bowties
HPI 1/10 Scale Touring Car Wing
MIP CVDs
MIP Clutch (After stock wears out)
Pipe - maybe Vantage CF
MX-3s Radio
Upgrade Servos
RX Hump Pack
Crowd Pleazer Body
Future Motors OS TZ or TM doubt I would more up to Big Block

There are actually quite a bit of hop ups for the truck. Some of the Terra Crusher parts are interchangeable from what I have read.
Integy makes hop up parts for it HERE
New Era makes hop up parts for it HERE
Nova RC makes hop up parts for it HERE
MIP Info on their parts HERE
GPM makes hop up parts for it HERE I dont carry this line

So PiErow what hop up parts would you need other then the ones listed above?

Have we forgotten OS and Fantom? Especially Fantom, and how all their engines are going to be made in Italy soon....

But not the best OS .18....and if it was, why would bruce plan on buying the same damn thing?

Uh, no, I don't see anything about buying the stock motor when it dies....

I've heard so many good things about them trucks! The reviews I've saw were off the charts and looks to be one of the elite racers out there. Be sure to keep us posted!!

Man that looks nice. I'd probably get one if the lhs had tamiya parts, and if the track had small-block MT, but there's just no way to compete w/ those truggies....

Very, very nice looking truck....If I decide to stay with a smallblock race truck & sell my race setup Revo I might look into the Tamiya. I've heard really good things on them so far and I love the idea of it coming with an OS engine....
Drop an OS.18tz in that thing and it should scream. Whats the weight on it with the Pro Parts you think? How does the handleing compare to a race setup Revo "with the RD Quickturn on the Revo"?
You had it on the track yet? If so how did it do???? Right now I'm thinking about a truggy "Marty Korn edition GS SUT maybe" but I'm not 100% sure what I'll get if I sell the Revo.....

I took a trip to the track with it today and I must say I am very impressed. Coming from a full race setup REVO myself, to me this truck is easier to drive and handles better then my revo. The REVO had to have ALOT of hop ups added to it to get to the level of a serious contender. While with the TNX it can hang right out of the box.

I ran one tank with the stock setup except for the tires and rims which were T-Maxx Velocity 40 Series with 40 Series Bowties.
Even with the stock platic oilfield springs the truck handled the rough parts and the jumps very nice. I did manage to pop the screw out of the rear bumper where it mounts to the rear skid plate from landing right on it oh and also ripped the rear spoiler off that I put on the truck(kinda knew that would happen lol)
After the first tank I brought it in for the addons. I added the Pro-Line Shocks and the MIP CVDs. The installation of these items were fairly easy and just took a little time.
Back on the track, I can now see why this truck is winning some major events against the REVO. I am not the best driver but this truck made me feel like a better one then when I drove my REVO. Being in Traxxas land most of the trucks at the track are REVOs. I let a few REVO owners drive it and they were very impressed with it.
Keep in mind that aside from the CVDs, blue aluminum head and Proline Shocks this is a stock truck!
Weak areas - Steering Servo - for stock its a very good and strong servo and handled 5 tanks of fuel on a rough track. I prefer more torque and speed so I will be upgrading this but who doesn't upgrade their steering servo from stock?
Turnbuckles - The rod ends popped off the ball ends a few times annoying but no big deal.
Throttle Servo - It is surprisingly fast for a stock servo but I will be opting for one with more high speed.

Other items that boke. Popped the screws out of the front bumper as in the same as the back. Torn the body from a crash. A proline wheel - need the 23mm next.

I will post pics tomorrow hopefully.

Sounds great RushRC, that truck seems like a winner in the smallblock class for sure, I might have to look into one....
I've been bitten by the truggy bug but in all honesty I never have a chance to race any, hell my Revo sets in the garage on my workbench 24/7. I barely ever have time to get it out and run it any...I might take it to the track for a couple of hours once every 3 weeks or so. Even then it's just to screw around for a little bit, no races since they decided to not do any through the summer at my local track here in S.W. FL.
I might just build a Savage SS 4.6 to beat up if I dont go back to the race platform on a truck....
It'd be kinda nice to actually build a RC Truck that I wasn't worried about breaking every time I got it out, not to say that the Revo isnt tough, just saying I hate to bash it since I've put so much money into it to make it track worthy.......

man that is one sweet truck can't wait to see it finished up with the hop ups and a vid of it in action.. I'm thinking of buying it ;)

He still likes it, I was going to get a Racing MT so I contacted Bruce and said I want a Racing MT and I was looking a REVO for a trade in, He's all "I have 2 words for you TNX PRO my friend"
So he must still like it, I will be getting one soon.
