I figured if I was going to paint bodies I need to have the right tools so I bought a Badger 175 Crescendo.

This is the first time I've ever used an airbrush and man did it make thing nicer. :breakdown

Looks great.
Did you draw out the flame mask?
Am I correct in saying the inside of the flames are the same color of the rest of the body? Only you marbleized it?
Sweet job!!!

I used a Sharpie and drew out the flames then just trimmed out the Liquid mask (that's some great stuff, by the way  )

The top flame on the hood is Candy Blue, the bottom flame is Metallic Blue and the rest of the body is True Blue Pearl. The Sandho was done with Indy Silver and Pearl Corel with black shadows.

Wasn't sure if all that blue was going to look good but I figured I'd give it a try anyway. :trashed:

Not too bad for something I'm going to thrash on in the dunes :whack: but not for a while anyways .... it's too perdy :bling:

Nice job.

Now you will be surfing ebay looking for cheap bodies to paint.

Or you could just offer to paint bodies for free and not return them.

hey if you want practice i need a few done youll just have to wait till i stop breaking stuff so i can buy the bodys..

damn looking good, yea i love those bodies, but i always bang up my bodies, so i paint them one color and am done, wish i was that talented!!!!

green green green green, alright I'm envious, if i can get so i can paint after 50 bodies what you just did with your first body i would be happy, i have the cresendo air brush as well, but mine must be faulty cause it dont paint like that :) LOL

It's actually the SECOND body I've painted BUT the FIRST using an airbrush and liquid mask :smoke:

Here's the first one I did ... I used rattle cans, masking tape and a paint brush :dumb:
After this first body I swore I'd NEVER paint another body again but then I found out about Liquid Mask (right here on this board) and a friend told me I really needed an airbrush

What liquid mask are you using

Bob Dively Liquid Paint Mask

It worked great just brushing on 4 heavy coats and let it dry real good
