My First Masking Job!

I just started masking my first, real, multi color body tonight. I am hoping to have the car match my GS Storm. I'll keep you updated on how the painting goes :thumbsup:

That looks like it is gonna be sweet. What colors are it going to be in the end? What are you using to paint it? i never really understood how they paint those. So you mask off that then spray most of it like a dark color, then you remove the mask and paint those in a lighter color? Any one got a link with more info on this? I would kindof like to try a hand at painting a body. Are you using an actuall airbrush, Spraycans?

Run your thumb nail over all the edges to make sure they are tight.

Yay! Positive feedback!

Before I paint it I will make sure everything it stuck down. In the picture you can see the tape around the door is coming off. Thats the only real trouble spot. Maybe it's because I'm so nervous and my hands are sweating all over the tape. Tale a look at my GS storm that is also in my Gallery. The flames will be a dark blue and the base will be a bright orange. I am thinking of doing the outlines of everything else black, or silver. Hmm, maybe I should do a silver outline around the flames?

Man thats nice, still havnt painted a body yet, I'm hoping i get to in a few weeks. Probably get that Bronco body for my maxx.

Doing a good job so far. Show us the finished product. What are u using? Spray or airbrush?

I'm using paint lol, Spray cans, Unless someone wants to lend me an airbrush I was thinking about making the hood and doors inverted to the other colors. If the flames are blue and the background is Orange, then the door would be blue and the flames on the door would be Orange. I still don't know what the outlines are going to be but I'm leaming towards silver. I could do a silver outline around the flames also but I dunno.
