I can update this now that I've been here for almost 3 months. I'm liking my job, just can't stand my supervisor....he's testing my military bearing. My daughter is going to a preschool off base that's really nice, they have a small farm so the kids get to grow their own vegetables and help with some animals. They've got chickens, ducks, rabbits, pigs, lamas, alpacas, sheep, goats, mini horses and some others, I'm sure, the kids actually go get the eggs from the chickens. The schools here actually start a year earlier than in the states, being as my daughter turns four in July, she'll be able to start in September. We were hoping that she'd get into the school right down our street (walking distance), but we actually got in country after the deadline for registering and this school was full. She was offered a place in another school, but we decided to pass, the ratings are pretty low and a few of the moms in one of my wife's FB groups actually pulled their kids out of it. She is still on the waiting list for the school by us until Jan so hopefully she'll get in, the pre-school that she is in is actually required to teach the same material that the normal schools would.
RC stuff:
I found a few HS around here, so I can get my fix, now that I have my own car I can go with out the wife. I need to get a bigger heli, I spend the whole pack fighting the wind instead of being able to really fly it. I'm waiting on my new hex drivers before I really start messing with my nitros. The Bohndus are good but the ball ends really destroy the cheaper screws an dI'm pretty sure the drivers are also worn now. I will be sending the drivers back for warranty replacements, once I get them back I'll use them with the Tony's screws but I think the stock screws really can't handle the ball ends.
I'll post some pictures of my sweet rides tomorrow. My wife has a 2004 Ford Mondeo, it's similar to a Ford Fusion, it's pretty nice and only had 52k miles when we bought it plus it gets upper 30s for mpg. I just grabbed a 2003 Renault Megane Fidji, the only way I can describe it is as a mini mini van. I just used it to finally get rid of all of the moving boxes that were in my backyard, it's nice because the back is basically covered in plastic so I was able to clean it pretty easily after the muddy/soggy boxes. Now I'll just keep putting some aside and keep looking for a SUV or truck, probably a SUV though...trucks are pretty expensive. Holy crap that was long (that's what she said), next time I won't wait so long between updates.
