We've got a move coming & it's going to require putting all belongings on a truck for a few days travel (west).

If you've moved with your rigs or maybe familiar with how to pack them for shipping, I am interested to know how you approach packing them.
I am preparing to pack a range of sizes from big (Notorious; Felony); A few 1/10 bashers/crawlers and many small 1/18-1/24. and then there are the boxes of parts, tools. etc. Y'all know....

Thanks for your kind words of wisdom, Even if it's try to sell the lot before moving!

A big roll of bubble wrap from Lowes is your friend. I always treat them just like if I were shipping them. Ditch wheels/tires, bodies, and wings (where applicable obviously), then stack em “69” style, or like I’m playing RC Tetris in the boxes.. Haven’t damaged anything in over 30yrs that way.

Good luck with the move homie! 🍻🤘

Def send them all to me until after your safely moved.
Then buy new ones. 😁🤣

Totes work. I even used heavy cardboard boxes before.
Packing them so they can't bang around is important.
I used bubble wrap too. 👍

I would pack bodies and other lightweight fragiles in their own box(es).

Good luck! Safe travels!!! 😎

I stopped using cardboard and use plastic totes, but same applies for cardboard. Bashers got a bath towel between each one and just stuffed in, they've seen worse. Crawlers, delicate ones got a towel and a layer of cardboard between them, some with lights etc were on their own with smaller items. Newspaper or dunnage to fill voids. Outside of crushing (which the box is meant to prevent) the only goal with packing is to stop movement, that will prevent most damage.

My only caution is heat, I moved in the summer and the brief time in the truck, and a couple days to unpack, some of the shoe glued parts started to move. No bodies warped etc, but had to fix my drift car body mounts.

Remember when you arrive, setup the bed first! When you've had enough, the bed is there. Good luck!

☝️☝️☝️☝️☝️This.

When I moved in '23 I was very fortunate to have collected a lot of large heavy duty boxes from my company in preparation (HVAC components).

Big bashers I took the wheels off to maximize the room. Then I would stick the tires around the car to bolster the sides. I would then put a few layers of bubble wrap between and place the next basher on top. Large 1/8th was two to a box.

Smaller cars had their own boxes; A Dyson vacuum box was the perfect size for a nitro F1 car. Some of the ones that are more durable I left the tires on and laid them on their side;
Think stadium trucks, buggies, etc. Bubble wrap under and between.

Nothing broke on this move but I was the moving contractor. At the time I had a new enclosed construction trailer, I just made a bunch of trips then rented a large enclosed truck for the final big stuff.

GL with the move.
