Just in case anyone is in the same predicament... very rudimentary🤣

I cut a rectangle out of the old chassis with my multitool

I did the angle cuts, measured the holes and drilled them. I used two different Philips bits with my drill for the countersink.

It mounted up pretty well. I used double sided tape and threw a zip tie in there for some added security.

Given my simple minded nature... I think this turned out pretty well.

I'm just glad it worked out! I usually mess it up a few times trying to figure it out. Really makes me want to get some kydex sheets and countersink bits
I use the .060 sheets, Amazon has them in various sizes.
