My area goes:
SC Truck/Buggy
Truck
Stadium (mostly Jato and rustlers)
Truggy/Buggy
I absolutely LOVE stadium trucks. The handle so well and are easy to work on and a blast to drive. HOWEVER, they are not easy for new racers to race as I found myself locking wheels up and flipping all over the place and they are absurdly unrealistic (only a fault to those seeking realism). Realism is one thing that drawls in alot of new people. They go to the track to watch and are amazed at how real this looks as drivers are bumping and pushing each other trying to advance. So they look into it, box stock class is very common, so that means you can pick up a SC in the morning, walk outside to the track, charge the battery, and be running with the guys you were just watching about 30-60 minutes later. I see it happen quite a bit. Even funnier is when Dad shows up with his son and watches people run on the track and asks some questions then to his kid "you sure this is what you want to spend your b-day money on?" Then a week or two later dad and son are back, but he's got his own car by then and are off to smack talk and race each other.
MTs are awsome too, but they are almost purely bashers, I tried running my savage on a SC track, I couldn't make the turns even at low speed, but atleast when someone got in my way I effortlessly ran them over.
Alot of tracks are like the one I go to, "Run what you brung". Few weeks ago it was my savage, a couple SCs, and believe it or not, a HPI Baja all running around a small SC track. It's a free track so people just come to try their hand at it while enjoying the company of others, so in that setting it doesn't matter what you choose, just there to laugh and have a good time. That's my kind of setting.
