Not to worry. Paradigm shift coming in weekends as they are known as a result of population growth and weekend traffic congestion.

Phase 1 will be expansion of the existing weekend into three parts. Fri-Sat; Sat-Sun (conventional); Sun-Mon. This will relieve current weekend congestion enough to work out Phase 2.

Phase 2 will expand the weekend as it is known now over the entire week, e.g., Sat-Sun; Sun-Mon; Mon-Tue, Tue-Wed, etc.

Of course, the stick-and-ball element will go apoplectic over such a proposal. As will the extant motorsports cabal. But in order to spread the congestion over the entire week, something has to give. Anyway, the way I see it playing out.

Mondays will be fun again. At least for some. -AC

Monday's should be illegal...we need a 3-day weekend in America
Well, guess what? My school doesn't have school on Fridays. Ever. Unless we have a snow storm that cancels school on Monday or something like that.

I am grateful to have a well paying job, I am fortunate to have an occupation I still enjoy even after 30 years, and I am blessed to be healthy and physically able to do my work. So, I for one, do not have an issue with Mondays......or any other days of the week.

I've never had a M-F, 9-5 type schedule. For the last nine years, I've been working (12-hour shifts) Sun-Mon-Tue, and every other Wed. So basically only half the year. :joyful:
Me too. Don't think I've ever had a M-F job. Currently working 12 hour shifts, Wed - Wed.

M-TH 7a-4p. F-7a-11a. Live 8min from work. Been there 28 years.
That's the one major downside to my work place. 45min commute in and +70min commute home. Not horrible. I'm typically home well before 3:30.
I'll be there 21 years, next month!

M-F 6:00-4:00 sometimes more depending on paving schedule. Most days are 400-500 miles. No lunch break..."just keep on rollin"! 30 yrs in this business and this is only the second company that doesn't work Saturdays. It used to be M-Sat 6:00 - 6:00

Worst schedule I ever worked was 45 on, zero off... in the USAF

When we deployed to Saudi Arabia, we worked 45 days straight, 12 hour shifts, first half on days, last half on nights. Pretty restrictive culture so didn't miss a thing being at work. Landed in the early morning on your first day, drop your bags and start work, work 3 weeks of day shifts, then switch to nights. On your last night shift, bring your bag to work, when the airplane landed, once the new day crew got off, we'd get on board and go home.
