That is one sick looking little rig dude! It turned out just awesome. Great build thread, and as such, I featured it for ya. Keep the pics and info coming.

I hadn't even noticed the 223s version of these having such cool paintjobs. Besides floe's here looking really cool, I really like this one.

I might just have to steal a bit of this color pallet and design for our XXX-SCT build.

Thanks a lot man!

I actually have a spare body incoming that I will paint yellow to match my other groms and keep as a shelf queen 😊

VERY Cool!

Let's see... taking off road trucks, lowering with better handling, increasing aerodynamics, all for the sake of going fast on road surfaces. Y'all a bunch of road racers in the making... you just don't want to admit it. :stick:

So I geared up from 22T to 24T pinion. A small increment but I want to approach this slow and steady. Got two identical runs this evening. Went perfectly straight and no crashing. I still have the opportunity to go all the way up to 30T pinion so I'm not maxed out in terms of gearing yet 😊

Gearing up from 24T to 26T pinion. Finally broke the 70 mph mark. Starting to realise that I probably won't reach my goal of 84 mph with the current motor, being that limited in terms of gearing.

Maybe I should just accept it and order the Castle 1010 - 5600 kv 😃

Got a Nascar Grom front splitter comming in btw. Think I'll need it soon as the speed is ramping up.

Front splitter installed. Not quite sure wether this an aero upgrade or not. I guess I have to consult my friend who specialises I aerodynamics. I think I need downforce on the rear as well. The car is all over the place at high speeds and I have not been able to beat 118 kph yet.

I never thought this would be an easy journey so I guess I just have to keep experimenting 😂

@floe. It's a slow methodical process. You're making good progress. Keep it up!

This link may help. Not RC but still found it useful. From my body/aero file:

Air Dams, Splitters, Spoilers and Wings
Thanks a lot mate! It seems like there is a bunch of good info on that page and it definitely confirms that I need to seal the body to the splitter.

I'll read through it 😊

I'm just saying, its WAY faster than my RC's are ever gonna go so congrats on that already!!! Holy smoke thats fast!!! 🤯👀
Thanks dude! It's a little rocket ship yes. But I seem to have reached a point now where I have stability issues 😂 There is definitely more in it at least in terms of the power system. Just need to figure out how to keep it on the road. It really wants to be an airplane at this point 😂
