Your typical charge lead that comes with 2S packs with inboard bullet tubes...

Even on 2mm bullets, the slim "bird cage" decided to give up. Who would have thought?

Never had one do that before.

What's the bird cage?

I don't know what the actual name of the flexible part is, but you know... they look like a bird cage 😁 Easier to see how they got their 'nick name' when looking at earlier EC5 bullets below.

Rusty. Use a dab of di-electric grease on the bird cage when inserting it. That should ease the entry and lessen the chances of splitting the cage.

Is there a burr or edge on the female (battery) 2mm socket? Maybe a gentle reaming of the entry at the socket would help?

Here on my bench, use di-electric grease on all my battery and motor-to-ESC bullet connectors.

Hope this helps. -AC

Yeah, I don't know how the connector broke. Constant plugging/unplugging the connector wore down a few of the metal tabs/prongs? Weird. I don't think I'll be using any dielectric grease on the 2mm balance connectors. I got enough dirt/dust to deal with 😁 I wouldn't put it past the dirt being' the reason the connector broke in the first place.

I'll just continue using normal 2mm bullet connectors until I can find smaller packs of these...

Yeah, get it on grease attracting dust. Here in Houston, excessive and persistent humidity is the corrosive gremlin to deal with. Di-electric grease helps mitigate that. You being inland in PA, yeah, it's not such a big thing as dust and dirt. -AC
