I figured I'd start a new thread so we can post some pics of our Mini Revo's and show what we've changed or modified. :D

I've added a new STRC motor plate and a HR mount.

I had my 1st failure while bashing around this past Sunday. After landing a nice jump, I went to accelerate and realized I only had front wheel drive. I've been reading a lot of posts about broken or stripped rear drive shafts and I figured that's what happened. But after I removed the center cover I was surprised at what I saw. Apparently rocks got stuck between the drive shaft and cover and "lathed" a few spots on the shaft, one of them being right on the rear u-joint. I cut out a few slots in the cover to allow the rocks to fall out. Once I get my new drive shaft Ill test it out.

Yeah. I put the ESC where the receiver was and put the receiver in the right side batt. compartment. I only run one lipo at a time so it works out great. And its also feels a little more balanced in the air. I cut the lips off the ESC and it fit perfect in the receiver's spot. I also rotated the motor 180* so the wires are at a better angle.

ok..thought it looked different...i have 2 of the axial heatsinks but can't fit them both with the motor wires where they are...but i'm not running LiPo's and don't think i will at any point..so i'm going to use the 2 battery pack setup for a while...very interesting mod dude...good thinking!

so far the only mods i got are lipos a must, heavy shock oil, pulled and reglued tires they start to fall off.and the best of them all is to velcro the body on and lose yhe pins if you run one you will lose a full set in a day...just clean the body out, clean battery doors pick up heavy duty velcro cut to size and stick it its been that way for a week and it rocks

i just bought some heavy shock oil yesterday and will do that this weekend...the vlecro idea for the body is a good one..i have about 100 body clips laying around..so doesn't matter to me if i lose them..

My Set-up

Stock motor and ESC for now(have a brand new Quark Roadster, just waiting for the stock electronics to die.)

2 Flightmax 20C 3S 1500mahs, 2 Turnigy 25C 2S 2200mahs lipos

Hitech HS-85MG servo(stock lasted less than one day). :\

Spektrum DX3S Tx/Rx

STRC Aluminum shock bodies

Tan springs/50wt. oil up front

Black springs/70wt. in rear

STRC Alum. motor plate

Hot Racing motor mount

2 Align motor heatsinks

OFNA Mini Hyper ST wheels wrapped in Pro-Line Dirt Hawg buggy rears.

I will have some more pics posted this weekend. :D

PS. I should be getting my T-Bone Racing Thrasher bumper today :)

i had to cut off the back end of my T-bone bumper to make it fit over the skid plates - but only neded up cutting off one mounting hole..so it works good - i need to take a pic..with the wheelie bar and the front bumper and skids the little guy is looking pretty mean! :)

New Stuff

I got home from work this evening and had a surprise :D

A set of OFNA Hyper Mini ST wheels, another pair of Pro-Line Dirt Hawgs, and the T-Bone Bumper. I used Gorilla brand duct tape(stuff is super sticky) on the inside of the tires to help stop them from ballooning. The T-Bone bumper looks bad ass on there.

P.S. My LHS only had white wings in stock, lol.

what parts do you have to dremel? the hex cutouts too deep or something?

i need a suggestion for springs for my truck..with the 2 batteries, the skid plates and everything i think i've overtaxing the stock springs..need a slightly heavier spring..got any suggestions? anybody? lnks?

Yeah the hex is too deep and rubs on the axle carriers. And you also have to remove some material where the axle comes through so you can get some threads exposed for the axle nut, all very easy things to do.

As far as springs, you may want to try blacks all around. Also you may want to change to a heavier shock oil to slow down compression. Two nimh packs do weigh a lot.
