i have one for my son. they take quite a bit of abuse, with a motor upgrade an lipo, they are a lot of fun !

My boys got the 1/10 and we have yet to replace anything other that the esc (Its not waterproof!!)

I think the lipo on it is shot. Charged it for 6 hours like the instructions said and the truck does nothing. I have a battery pack that holds 4 AA batteries with the same plug and the truck will go with that. I guess I need a new battery for it
pick up a cheap set of paddle tires for the rear. in sand, or light dirt or gravel they make a world of difference! other than a few front spindle arms, nothing else has been broken on ours, and we beat it pretty good!

I have a micro desert truck and I think I already have like 275 bucks in this little thing. Still waiting for some of my parts to come in for it though...I'm upgrading almost all of the plastic parts, tires and wheels, threaded axels (didnt realize they had CVDs at the time or I would have bought them), 10250kv motor, brushless ESC, 2.4GHZ RX, and I'm modding it in order to be able to run two 350mah lipos in parallel for extended drive times 
I already ordered 4 Zippy 2S 350mah packs for it. I'm gonna mount the RX in the battery box and velco 2 Lipos side by side on the top of the chassis right in front of the ESC. Ill post picks when I get it all done. The only thing that sucks was the tires and wheels that I picked I picked the specifically so I could dye the rims (they are white) but they are made of some sort of non-porous plastic because they wont take dye. 
Oh well.
