It's kinda common place for drummers to rent out a space just to be able to practice.
I think as long as you don't damage anything and/or disturbed others, they wouldn't care. They just want steady income.

I had to help a neighbor clear out a storage unit. They had a few singers in there jamming out. Whole padded studio with a couch. Made moving more enjoyable.

Perhaps not. I'm a pretty big guy. I have visions of Herman Munster stomping down your racetrack like a sad Godzilla movie!
The track AND its placement are both GREAT ideas!
Its cool that the owners are into the idea!
If a few ppl built tracks you could "travel" inside the storage area to different layouts.
Thats a seriously cool way to spend a Sat racing!
