If I was gonna 'jump' this thing, it would be to 'jump' it off the side of Mt Washington! 🤣
It looks like one of the torque converter nuts backed off and caught itself between the converter and the housing and blew a hole in both.
Its leaking like I'm just dumping the quart bottle on the driveway directly,
I need a whole new (used) transmission by the looks of it.
That blows man!
 
David, what did ypu think of the Tekno? Are you fully converted to 4x4 yet? Come, join the dark side! 🤣

I can do the transmission here on my garage floor. I'm not sure I want to though.
Its a dirty job, gonna trash my garage floor at least!
Plus I'm old and creaky! 🤣

It's really fun and fast. But TLRs are a bit lighter than the tekno. Unless you go with the tekno SL which is based off a 10th scale chassis.

I wish. Really wanna sell the slash as a roller and get a tekno 2.0 or find a used SCTE. But y'all know I ain't getting rid of my baby 🄹
 
My uncle drives a xb4 17. And he says kit setup is dialed for carpet. For him at least.

My B74.1D does great to. Just had to get thicker front springs. Thicker front oil. And some diff oils. Lower ride height and I was basically set.

That sucks, also why the jalopnik's I buy are always stick shift! LOL. Maybe next time get the rally edition, made for jumping.šŸ˜‰

Lol! I always thought this car needed a 5 spd! I got 270k miles out of this one so I can't be too upset. The high milage is what's got me so hesitant about the job.
Its a pain in the butt!

As far as Rally edition, I JUST replaced the springs with some H&R sport and Ford racing strut/shocks are in it PLUS new poly bushings in the back of it.
It even has Firestone Whooptysnot tires on it! (I forget what model but are perf oriented).
It car can't get out of its own way but it handles AWESOME for a little sled!
 
I still think the Team Associated Pro4 SC10 is a bargain in the market. Three steel-gear diffs and steel dogbones/out-drives. Could maybe use a better shock, but pletny durable... just wish it was available in kit form.

Lol! You say that so quickly. My girlfriend drove this to work, at least 20 miles, I drove it this morning to the dump, about 5 miles... THEN I found the hole.
It drove MILES with a HOLE in the trans!
With 270k miles AND I can still drive it like this... Its not far off from bullet proof at that!
