Maxxtraxx.com is down...

I know this is a dead thread, but I can't believe that MaxxTraxx is STILL down.

I was thinking the same thing. I check it out sometimes and still get that error.

That's what happens when you F with your ISP. You get black listed and it becomes harder than hell to find another provider. Guess they should have followed the rules.
=devil

It has to be more than what they are saying.
Hell, you can get an offshore account in about 5 minutes.

I wonder if they didn't have a backup and the ISP wont give them their data.

Woodie,
Backup 2 times a day instead of only once.

Looks like he is running it off a personal server or somthing his ISP gives him.

He has been running the forum section only since he was shut down. Other than that, MaxxTraxx.com is a memory.

Even if thats the case, its not hard to setup a temp front page or even create a new one.

I too am wondering if it was something more then what they are saying.

I actually came from MaxxTraxx. I have to say that this site is a lot more friendlier. You can post wrong or stupid advise and no one gets on your case. You also get an answer pretty quick after you post something. I still visit MaxxTraxx and several other boards, but I tend to stick to this one more.

Well i wonder if they are down for good...Maybe they won't be bringing the site back.Or maybe there doing some HUGE upgrade to the site.Well till the day they comeback online.....:radio:

Who cares? An upgrade wouldn't take this long anyway.

i like this forum, savage central, both very friendly and helpfull on info.. maxx traxx i foudn to be where you go when u need someone with lots of $ to buy some stupid idea to test it..

They did suck..........The less Nazi's in the world the better in my opinion and I am sure we weezed a few of there old members over here with all the glitz and glamour and bling bling WoodiE puts down cuz he's straight gangsta. I can see WoodiE "C" walkin right now.:hehe:

I just found this on another forum.
Is it the truth? Who knows.
It seems if this was the issue they would have just rented space from another hosting service until their issue was solved.
Never the less this is the most current rumor and I wish them luck in regaining their user base.
**************************************

I just got off the phone with James after talking to him for about 20 minutes and I figured I would post the actual TRUTH about what's going on with the site, since there seems to be a plethora of false information out there. The ISP of the ISP that hosts Maxxtraxx went bankrupt. The ISP that went bankrupt is in another state. When the ISP went bankrupt, the bank went over to the building and locked the building up. It was a couple weeks before the ISP that actually hosts Maxxtraxx knew what was going on, as they were attempting to access the database at the other ISP with no luck and their phone calls were going un-answered, because, well, there was no one in the building to answer the calls. The hardware that Maxxtraxx is stored on is actually owned by Maxxtraxx. Because it was in another state, they had to send invoices to the bank with serial numbers of all the equipment as proof that they actually DID own the equipment so that they could get the equipment back. They've submitted proof to get the equipment back and the equpiment has been released back to them. It's now just a matter of getting everything set back up and getting everything back online. The downtime at Maxxtraxx is not their fault, and isn't even the fault of their ISP, but their ISP's ISP. If you want to bash Maxxtraxx, that's fine, and if you choose to stay here, that's fine and I wish this site much success. However, I felt the need to actually post correct information, and please refrain from bashing someone or something until you actually know the facts. Thanks.

Why didnt they just download it while they had the chance and restore it elsewhere? Backup?

Anyhow, the IRS sucks! See what chaos they cause?!?!?!

I actually enjoyed frequenting that site too!
