Yes... they will take the drive to there "Clean Room" , dismantle the drive, recover the contents, copy them to a brand new 320GB external, and send it back to me. There is no charge if they can't recover any data, no standard fee or anything like that. If they can't recover data you don't pay a dime other than the shipping costs. Also the price they are charging me are set at $1,600, it can go no higher. That price is also what I will pay if they can recover the entire drive. I will pay less if they are not able to recover data, which is prorated based on what they recover. They do not charge you per file recovered.. but they do subtract money for every file they can't succesfully recover. What they call successful, is data that they can not only recover... but can recover and is fully functional. I don't pay for a file if it is not fully 100% in working order. So it is very expensive, but at least I know that whatever data I get back will be 100% saved.
