Deer whistles are a thing and work, I highly recommend them
They are a thing, but I dont beleive they work. I've seen a lot of cars come in smashed from a deer with the wistles still attached. Hmmm

51 and the only time I ever hit a deer was when I didn't have any. I see deer walk/run away from the roadway as I'm approaching. Do you check to see if they're mounted correctly? There is a right and wrong way to mount most of them. The ones state farm used to give away are the best

You can look at the parts before you drive to the yard, talk to the sellers... get the best deals.

I've had pretty good luck finding the right color pnls to bolt back on so no body shop involved. 👍

I had good luck finding my Infiniti door. I thought it would be a lot harder matching the color.
I had to swap out some internals to make the handles and mirror match/work but wasn't a bad job.

Good luck!!! 🤞😎

I believe they do work. I used to drive through the most sparsely populated county in Indiana to and from work. Coming home at 1am or so, I hit a lot of deer. One night I had one run into my door 5 minutes ftom home. I continued on and got 4 minutes from home and hit another.

The next day I added a pair of whistles to my car and I never hit another. And just to give you an idea of how bad the deer were, the spot I always hit them, that night after installing the whistles had 32 deer standing in the field they always ran out of. The prior year they had cut the number of deer people could take, and you could tell.

I will add, if you don't want to hit any dear, get yourself a Ford 5.0 and hop it up. Add long tube headers and a full 3" exhaust. You'll never hit a deer. They ran from that car 😉

Had a deer run into the side of my boss’s work truck as I was driving it to the job site this morning. Got lucky and it ran into the tool boxes on the side of the truck (utility pickup). No damage, deer bounced off and took back off running the opposite direction🤦‍♂️

Glad it wasn’t worse! Hope you can get it repaired ASAP!

Yup, seen more than a few with blood and hair on 'em.
I had a wildlife officer friend that explained to me that those whistles just make em run if they work at all. Not necessarily away, just run. Deer are stupid. Tasty, but stupid.

I was in my dad's 2001 Toyota tundra when my uncle hit a deer at 50mph. a adult boy and girl dear when past us so that's why we didn't slow down, then out of nowhere Bambi came out of the bushes! he ended up rolling under the truck, and since the tundra was a early production 1st generation, it had the non facelift with the steel bumper. it just left a headsize dent in the bumper, and a lot of fur. we just replaced the bumper.
