I am such a hypocrite!

First off, Redcat seems to be knocking them out of the park lately!

The new Redcat 1/6 Vertex is cool, but I think the body looks too small.

But the new Redcat 1/18 Apex looks almost the same scale wise, but did you hear me complain? Maybe it's not as drastic, or maybe it's the color? Just doesn't bother me as much. Yep, I may just be a Hypocrite!

Its because the blue body looks like an ugly high tech tennis shoe/snow boot and red is pretty.

If the roofline of the blue one was higher/taller the body wouldn't look so weird, it looks out of proportion to the rest of the scale..

I believe this was meant to be a comp crawler, so scale is out the window. I'm used to tiny bodied comp crawlers, so the body doesn't bother me at all.

Also, I'll choose blue over red on most occasions, so......

That's kinda what it is with both of them. They're like a Kraton turned into a crawler. Really wide track, huge tires, and low slung body.

@Doom! keeps ticking me off buying these 18th scale trucks, but I am resisting his peer pressure

I'm pretty much done with SCX24's. I fell for the pretty face on my new 4Runner, but 1/18 is the superior scale for mini crawlers. Axial is mostly just making new bodies on the same old chassis, while the others are innovating. I loved my SCX24's but I'm finding myself using them less and less. I don't need any shelf queens..

Absolutely agree. After my last upgrade to our SCX24, I'm done. Too small and like you said 1/18 has so much more to offer.
