Ok I started using my M8 with Spektrum and I am getting a lot glitching.

Platform...

  • GS Storm

Servos

  • Throttle--94358
  • Steering--94359

Spektrum Non Pro set up.

I have binded this several times and it works fine. Is there something else I am missing here? I talked to Horizon on the spektrum set up and they are saying that its a servo issue due to them being metal geared. WTH??? So I can't use my servos??? They worked great in my Revo. No glitching at all.

Any opinions?

take the radio tray out and test it again. OR try some different servos. I smoked a 94357 in about agallon with my spek, donno if it was my error or theirs, but its still dead.

Thats' what I don't get...I ran this set up in my Revo had ZERO problems.

I run it here and its glitching like crazy. I took the whole try out last night.

I will remove it all and test one by one. I have the latest firmware so I am going to clear out the spektrum being the culprit for now.

I had issues with my M8 with Spek. It seemed to glitch more than crystal based. I was about to go back to FM and then went to Nomadio and have been happy ever since. It glitched so bad one time it took me out of my main at RC Pro FInals before it even started. Lining up on the straight my 5T made a hard left turn without input and hit the bleechers.

Dang.. I was pretty ok with the whole crystl thing but I went to the track and I hate asking who's on what channel. The spektrum is nice since it just scans for a free channel. Is there something on the radio I need to do? I was also told that the batteries need to be charged from Horizon...brilliant idea there. I would never have thought of that..not. First thing I checked!!!

I haven't had any issues with the M11 Spectrum setup using the pro or standard RX.
Metal gears haven't been an issue either.

I have spoken to Horizon and they say the set up is great but are leaning towards the servos causing them... I don't get it.I had them on a Revo and had no prob.. I drop it in my storm and I have glitching.... I am going to call airtronics but I will test the gear one more time.

UPDATE:

I tried with other servos and the clitching was still present. I have eliminated the Horizon Hobby hunch that itwas my Airtronics 94358/94357 servos causing it. I slapped on my old FM module and Airtronics RX and the glitching was history. Tried two separate RX batteries. Both were used with the SPektrum when the glitching was happening.

I am going to contact Horizon about this and will be letting you all know.

GRRR.. I hate crystals. I might sell this to get an actual Spektrum type set up. No module add ons.

Carbon Fiber? If so ...nope. Just threaded throgh the RX box and up a tube. Why do you ask?

I removed the RX and tested it with servos by itself. Glitches were still present. Pretty annoyed that this is happening.

According to SPektrum they gave it a clean bill of health. Yes they are used. I have asked the old owner. Waiting now.
