I bought a new LST and the hex drive shaft was not in the box...local hobby shop had taken it out to show me the truck and it's lost now. They gave me a different shaft but they didn't say but looked like they weren't sure if it would work or not. How can I tell if it's the right one? They said something about HPI but i'm not sure if they gave me a shaft from an HPI or what...if it works I don't care but I really wanna run this thing. I have to put a clutch in my 91 Mustang Coupe so I need something to give hell.

The spin start shaft is stored inside the battery compartment of the spin starter. Just pop off the cover and it will be snapped onto the inside of the cover.

Also, the HPI rotostart starter shaft will not work. It uses a dogbone style end instead of a hex style.

Thanx for the reply...I guess i'll be giving them a call.

Call losi... They are good and If it isnt in the rotostart battery cover like robmob said. I'm sure they'll send you another one. Just be sure and call the number in the manual. Its not toll free but you will get a response from it.
