Took out the amazon esc and motor I had. Put back in the dynamite 2in1, tested it and it still works. I will figure out the gear mesh and my receiver setup in the morning. And maybe to solder a deans plug on the esc to use my new batteries. Ideally want to test and experiment how it affects weight and the balance of the car. Already it feels so much lighter, and the body stays on because there is no wires pushing up against the body.

Shock leaked again. 🙄
Rebuilt that. I put in a basically like new plunger in from one of my spare rear shock, and I put a o ring under the piston. And it seems to hold oil now so all good.

Lost the spring cup somewhere. I had a set of 3d printed spring cups, which were too long so I cut them down to make them work.

Soldered a deans plug on the esc from spare Amazon adapters I had in my bag. Next I just got to solder the opposite deans plug on the spare batteries, since those had EC2s.

Drove it for a couple of minutes with my table top jump and it works good. Drives a bit better.

For high bite carpet, I think having the Amazon ESC/motor helped with the added weight to keep the car down and planted. With bashing around and at LBRC, I shouldn't need that extra weight so that's why I went back to the 2in1

I did slightly loosen the slipper and put some throttle expo in my radio to help with smoothing out the throttle.

When my buddy redid my motor, the on/off switch is a bit short so I'll just leave it hanging out. Should be fine though.

Edit:
With the shocks, I figured out the stock oil is 25wt, the lowest I had was 30 so that's what I rebuilt the front left shock with.

Took it outside with the ramp.

With being back with the 2in1 combo, it jumps alot better.
The front arm king pin slide out so I got some pliers and put that back in there and all is good.
Got a couple packs charged up for the Mini Track tonight or tomorrow.
Yea, ill be keeping this as an indoor car for now on. Don't really want to break anything else until I start racing this thing again.

With the ending of the Mini Track, won't be running the car alot, but I am getting a bit excited to race @ LBRC during the summer with this thing, and hopefully to start up a Mini Class at the carpet tracks during the winter. :)

Took it to 997 a couple weekends ago and the car drove great. Love to drive this thing again. Got it bound up to my 4GS with the R8FG receiver from Radiolink after getting my radio stuff set up with the other cars.

That looks awesome! And that is absolutely not the same quality kit as I bought. What year did you buy yours? Mine falls apart after every impact and watching yours, well I would have been searching for pieces to the car after the first big jump.i bought the pro roller, when I first came out, with expectations of it being awesome like my mini 8ight buggy. I really wish there was a track like that around me, but they removed the only track i know about around 2 years ago. 😕

I bought this as a brushed rtr back in early 2022. But its a whole different car now with a new chassis, and aluminum parts here and there. Main issues I have is ball cups popping but I just drive more carefully and smoothly now to prevent that.

I lost 2 lower spring perches and rear drive shaft by just driving it on the street in front of my house. No jumping or hitting anything, just expansion joints in the road or enough to knock the spring perches off and do Oblivion and as you mentioned ball cups are trash and constantly pop up front and rear. I even bought brand new ones and still have same problem. Given its size and weight I thought it would be a lot of fun and get some good airtime but I've only jumped it once and despite the landing being pretty level it did not survive. I've replaced about 90% of mine also, after driving it into a parked car tire. The damage was incredible! Lol Now it just sits on my shelf.

Yea ball cup popping off and dogbone coming out. And the spring cups. Yea had those issues when racing last summer. Last winter used it alot on my mini track. Which I threw those custom ramps out. Mine just sits too. Hopefully the new to me carpet track this winter, hopefully I can start up a mini b class and race. If not I might sell my car.

With as bulletproof as my mini 8 is, this was definitely a disappointment and the last Losi for me, after the Lasernut purchase was equally disappointing. They sure do look cool though lol

If I do get rid of mine due to the racing class not being popular, i have my eye on a Arrma grom. (@luke66 ;) ), Or a LC Racing

Man, been a while since I wrenched or drove this thing!

Using my NB4 Flysky on it now, since my uncle has yet to find his spare futaba receiver so ill use my Flysky till I need a spare receiver for another car lol.
Attempting to start back up a Mini class at the new to me carpet tracks for this winter, I got 3 other racers who are wanting to run them, but they have decided either a stock brushed or stock brushless class, not sure on full rule set yet but hopefully mine would be allowed with all of my current upgrades, but just with the Dynamite 2in1 6000kv system in it, since it technically is a stock brushless motor I'm assuming, since it came in the Mini T 2.0 BL before spektrum came out with their copy of it.

Gonna try to wrench on it this weekend and get it ready. Last time I drove it which was at the local big indoor dirt track, one of the rear tires locked up under throttle so gonna investigate and try to fix, and ill have to find my carpet tire set for this thing, haven't seen it around. Probably in my huge tire bin. But anyways still running the Proline Wedge/Prism tire combo that I got 2 years ago and they are like new still. If racing Mini's are successful, I been wanting to try out the Fuzz bites from jconcepts.

Full rear end and diff rebuild. Open diff likes to just make grease vanish. Red n tacky made it feel so much better. But found my issue. Blew a bearing in the wheel hub which caused the wheel to lock up. Gonna order some and hopefully it's here by Friday night and hopefully usps or whoever it's through won't mess up and be quick. Might be going to the track for the free practice day next Saturday.
