A bit of progress. New wheels and a custom painted body. Still waiting on the last parts 😊

Parts finally started arriving! It fits... barely! I decided on the Hobbywing Xerun 2848 (2800kv) motor paired with the beyond overkill but I wanted to keep it 3S Hobbywing EZRun Max10 G2 (it was the one available lol). Hopefully this just means everything will run fairly cool. :) Body fits without issue. Pretty awesome little platform!

Jesus. That's one crazy motor setup for that boat 🤣 How does the Max10 fit? I considered it but was a bit worried that it would be too big 😊

It's REAL tight but it does technically fit. Took it out last night for a gentle run and I think 2800kv on 3s will be pretty great. That little sort of ring that lines the inside of the body on each side? that gets in the way somewhere/somehow. Will need to solve that... ESC fan barely turned on in a 20 minute run 🤣.

Can''t you just stretch it over the side of the ESC when you put the body on? How does it compare to the stock system then? 2800 kv is less than the 3.000 stock motor, so you might want to gear up? You should have PLENTO of power to do that 😂

More progress... Swapped the stock servo for an Injora INJS11 11kg metal geared coreless servo and matching aluminum servo saver. Sooo much more power and speed than the stock servo 😃

Also started the body modifications. First up was designing some "air-intakes" in fusion and printed them on the Bambu 😊

Dang, that looks so good! Very impressive. I really love the side vents!!

re: how it compares to stock - funny, I don' know! I just got the frame/drivetrain etc off eBay. Figured since I was gonna toss all the stock stuff anyway... might as well just never get it! Kinda cool... anyway, just about done with mine. Pics shortly.

Ok, it's finally all set. Had to find a shorter fan (the one I had was 30mm tall which is WAY too tall lol). And, got the M2C shock shaft sets installed, so hopefully these stock shocks will last... It was tight, but very doable. @floe's radio box is what really makes it possible. Also, that power button is a complete pain. I wish you could just get rid of it... But the body goes on and off with out issue and isn't being pushed or pressed by anything inside. Such a cool lil chassis! Charging batteries now and taking it out in a bit... Should be quite the sleeper, since it looks 100% stock!
