The 1258TG is a great servo, I use it in my 22SCT, and my 22B.

Ok sweet! Then for tx and rx I'm just gonna do the TQi setup for right now because I already have the tx

Just a warning, the Savox hi-torque and hi-speed servos draw alot of power. If it seems like it's glitching, pick up a "Glitch-Buster" capacitor and that'll take care of it. They range form $5.00-$15.00 based on brand, Novak, Spektrum, and some other brand available. Your lhs should have them in stock.

Ok cool! So the traxxas tqi setup is ok until I get the Spektrum combo?
I love this thing so much! Tommorrow I'm getting the servo and receiver

So on CL some guy wants to trade a sv2 combo (4600kv) to me. Would this be ok until I save up for something else?

I run a 10.5 (4600) in my xxx-sct and it does great on my track, it depends on the size of your track, but if its adjustable you can always turn the motor back and calm it down some.
