Look what I picked up on Craigslist

I've been trying to get my kids into RC. I have a 11yr old boy and 2 girls 6 and 9. I found these 3 electric RC's on Craigslist:
1. Tamiya Lunch Box Dodge van
2. Kyosho Ultima
3. A/E RC10

They are in near excellent condition. 6 batteries, 1 controller, 3 extra motors. The 1st battery charged up pretty good. I stuck it in the Lunch Box, the wheels were going backwards! Oh well looks like we have some work to do. Apparently the Lunchbox was given to the previous owner.

The buggies were purchased new and were very well taken care of. Boxes and original manuals included on the buggies.

I wanted the kids to get into the hobby and I figured electric would be a good way to start.





Now that I'm getting the kids into the hobby, I will have more excuses to visit the LHS!!

Sweet score. If your daughters don't like the pink Lunch Box body, I have a 2 year old that would love to trade her white Lunch Box lid with ya. I also got her Lunch Box on craigslist.

Is that one of the gold tub RC10s with the white plastic? Nice score, I never find any rcs other than nikkos and T-maxxs on Craigs list.

Really super. Be careful, though, and do a bit of research. I think a couple of them are collectible. They are old and rare, and not many parts will be available.

You know Rolex you are making a good point. I think I may do something else with the RC10 and Ultima. They may not be the best for backyard bashing. I think my kids would probably ruin them. The bodies are in near mint condition and that is the hardest part to find. My son was already talking about how high it can jump! Ugghh.

The buggies should be shelf queens with some occasional mild bashing.

The other thing I could do is see if anyone here may want to do a trade for a nitro truck or buggy. The Lunchbox is already up and running and my youngest one loves it. I have an RC10GT nitro stadium truck I can let my son run. Then I would only need 1 more nitro truck for my other daughter.

I just noticed that you also have the boxes. If they are worth something, the price goes way up with the packaging. I wouldn't run them till I checked into their value.

Thanks Rolex, I just put them up for trade here. I'm not gonna whore them out on eBay, I'd rather see them go to a nice home here on the board.
