What do you do with bad/worn out LiPo batteries? I called my local battery shop and was told they can't help me. They couldn't get off the phone quick enough once I mentioned Lithium battery.

Here's what Thunderpower says to do, it's also what I've read elsewhere, apparently lipos aren't bad for the environment.

If you can't safely discharge it and put it in the salt water would the terminals just corrode to the point where the battery is no longer discharging?

I've heard of people throwing them in fire pits or shooting them, neither of these are options for me though.

I put the two i had in a large container of salt water outside on the concrete, then forgot about it for like 4 months. No charge left in em. lol

The salt water reacts with lithium compound to make it inert and not prone to explode or burn. Since it's not a heavy metal, it's safe to dispose of them in the landfill.
