Does anyone know where I could get a couple parts for a Kyosho Ultima. I need a tie rod.

A hobby shop. Tower Hobbies and A Main Hobbies are the first 2 that come to mind.

I read that RCSUPERSTORE.com has EVERYTHING you could want and a very well priced!
Then again R/c mags say lots of thing, but you should try it out.

OK. Yeah this thing is like 18 years old. My dad raced it when he was my age. Thats what my first rc car was. Now i have a T-maxx 3.3 but I would like to have this running also. You can never have enough

Ultima's are old, though I don't know when they where discontinued. No regular modern hobby shop will have parts for it. Most of them probably would hardly remember what they look like! Try a search for vintage rc parts. Good luck.








We have bags of parts for these things, but they're kept in a safe.

Thanks. I looked on ebay again and found something similar. My tie rod is part metal, but there is a plastic one on ebay.

Take a good one to a hobby shop and find one that you can make work. You should be able to get something that's close to the ones you have.

My first RC model was an Outlaw Ultima Truck. I finally got sick of busting gears, everytime I tried to run it. The Ultimas came with some unadjustable plastic tie rods, but they weren't used. You should be able to replace the missing tie rod with a good quality turnbuckle. You eou either need to find one with ends that will fit the balls on the Ultima, or find ball ends that will fit the new turnbuclle, and can be bolted in, in place of the stock ones.

The Ultima I have is I'm pretty sure the original ultima.
