I build a custom Turbo Inferno 2023 model. I use an Inferno MP7.5 as basis for the model.
In 2023 we have to think about the klimate changes so therefore Turbo Inferni in 2023 is electric.
I habe bought very similar rims that looks very much the same ar the rims for Turbo Inferno and
I have found reproduced stickers for Turbo Inferno on internet.

I can begin this threat with showing the original Turbo Inferno from 1991

Here is a picture of an Inferno MP7.5. This model has a good potential to become
a modern Turbo Inferno and it has eksactly the same spoiler.

Now over to my car.

I bought a used Inferno MP7.5

I cleaned it and removed all "nitro-stuff"

I needed a blue chassis

The car had to be completely renovated so I took a good service.

I demounted the whole car and I replaced many parts with new unused parts.

What is your opinion?

Sway bar innstalled in the front axle.
Turbo Inferno had sway bar. And it is good that I have blue shocks, like Turbo Inferno. Then I do not have to buy new.
I wait for new high tourqe driving axles.
60% of the suspention are brand new parts.

I needed battery/ESC holder and a new servo mount with a box for the reciever.

This is genuine Kyosho. I ordered from Japan.

I love what you're doing with the Inferno! Such a good feeling to take something and convert it and/or restore it to like new <3

I have removed the differentials so I can open up and mount new driving axles and fill in new gear oil.
I have bought new driving axles.
You can see That I also have bought a set with shims.
The used car I bought was missing many shims.

A modern Turbo Inferno needs modern rims that looks very similar to the original rims.
Original rims for Turbo Inferno is not available anymore but I bought some other rims from Thunder Tiger and that fits perfect and has the same size and look. Both are green 5 spoke rims.

Let us compare original Turbo Inferno with Thunder Tiger.

Original Turbo Inferno (not available anymore)

Thunder Tiger

And I shall buy these tires. (Inferno MP9 tires)

The Turbo Inferno had much rougher tires than my car.
So these tires will be good

I save money so I can buy this 30 years old front bumper for Turbo Inferno.

It has been in storage for around 30 years without being sold. It is NOT cheap.

This car is based in a Inferno MP7.5 but It har also parts from other models. Inferno MP7.5 is older than the electric convertion set and, the tires I bought is meant for Inferno MP9, the rims are Thunder tiger and the motor mount comes from China and the motor and ESC is Hobbywing and the drive shafts come from the USA..
And I shall buy a 30 years old unused front bumper from Turbo Inferno.
It is a good mix of several model and brands, so it is not correct to call it Inferno MP7.5 anymore.

Turbo Inferno was a nitro car, yes, but the development in cars continues and now you can buy an electric BMW 3 series. But it's still a BMW 3 series even if it's electric, but it wasn't 30 years ago.
The same can be said about this car. It will be a Turbo Inferno 2023 model because it will look almost exactly the same, only on a modern chassis and most of the car is new parts.

Id just call it an Inferno 7.5+ :)
But it will even get Turbo Inferno stickers. I know where to buy them reproduced.

It will look like a Turbo Inferno - not like a MP7.5.

The car below is a real Turbo Inferno. When I am finish you would allmost not see difference. At least you must look twice.

Heavy duty drive shafts.

I had to demount all the tree diffenetials for mounting the new drive shalfts.
It was almost no grease inside and there was no diff oil at all.
I filled up with new differential oil.
