I am researching something for a friend who is thinking of getting into nitro. One of the makers he is looking into is Kyosho. What is their current stauts as far as dealers and parts? I think I heard a few reports a while back that it was getting hard to get parts.

At one point it was tough to get parts because kyosho was making a division in the us Kyosho USA, the previous supplier was great planes. Great planes does not even sell kyosho anymore.

Don't hesisate to buy kyosho, they are here to stay.

Hey Revo,

I agree with VB, I don't think Kyosho is going anywhere. I guess it just depends on wether or not you want to be able to go to the LHS to pick up parts, or order them off the net. My lhs doesn't stock Kyosho parts, but does stock Ofna and Jammin parts, so that greatly influenced my decision to buy the Jammin stuff. Just my two cents. Take care my friend.

Tom

my LHS stocks some parts, so far they have had everything in stock that I have broken which is nice, which is only the clutch spring, and throttle spring, and a few screws and pins (which any shop would have iam sure) although they say that kyosho USA is just starting to get its foot on the ground, and starting to make parts available etc. and they say within the next 2-3 months they should have a good stock of parts, as well as orderability...so that was good to hear.

My LHS can get em as I prefer. They have some things in stock. One MP777 SP1 and SP2. They say they can get Kyosho parts in within a week or 2 max. I may move to get a kyosho since there are so much more on the K rides and the MP 777 models.

Thanks guys. He is in OC near me so we have a large variety of LHS's to choose from. Also, Kyosho USA is just down the road. I'll let him know to call them and see what they say.

I like Kyosho products myself, although I have never owned any. My friend wants a buggy, and only wants a Kyosho or a Jammin.

yea Kyosho parts are getting easier and easier to get...great products, tell him GO FOR IT.

I agree as well. I have two Kyosho USA-1 Nitro MT's, and although they don't make parts for them anymore, anytime I've needed copies of manual's and the like, Kyosho USA has been great!
