This weeks upgrade is a little bling on the upper arms. I’m swapping out the black steel turnbuckles for red aluminum ones. Hopefully save a little weight.

Keep your eyes open for titanium for weight savings. They ARE lighter.
I would be most concerned with bending the softer metals over the steel. I'm curious to see if these work out well for you over time.
They look nice, but I like the red and black too. 😎

Was able to get turnbuckles placed on upper a-arms and back in this weekend

If anybody has one of these let me know. I don’t think I have it calibrated correctly. Works fine in forward but no reverse sound. No sound on 3rd channel either. I still haven’t tried the software for it yet

I finally picked a steering servo. I went with the YeahRacing option. It came with its own turnbuckles. So I’m gonna use the ball ends from that because they are smaller than what I am using now for more room to steer. I’m still trying to find a way to replace that loose fitting silver rod with something more durable for steering.

Got some shock cups. Not the most noticeable up grade. Looks good when I land upside down lol.

Its all the little things that make these cars so cool! I wonder if there is enough room to replace the steering rod with a carbon fiber plate with bearings. An Ackerman plate under the saver arms.
Maybe ballstuds, rods and ends to go over top of the driveshaft?

The red bling is cool! I love this build! 😍

KYOSHO RULES!!!! 😎👍

I’ve thought about the carbon fiber plate or a turnbuckle. Hadn’t thought over the driveshaft though That’s interesting! I think the front end is done now with hop ups. I’m gonna get the front end straight and aligned. All the aluminum hop ups have made the front end around 1/8in wider than stock was.

Check out my rear end! Bullet proof rear diff with some aluminum and carbon fiber goodies from Kyosho and Yeah Racing. Made the rear end a dual caliper break. Also cut out an Axial rear diff cover to make a rear diff cover of my own.

Well you finally forced me to pull the trigger on the yeah racing escentials set for my Fazer Mk 2 Supercharged Camaro... had it for a year and it has been mostly a shelf queen since the ultra scale Camaro body is sooo nice. Have been wanting to upgrade the control arms to add some adjustability for awhile. I have a cheapo body for it when I run it, again to protect the origina Z28 body. Looking forward to see how yours turns out.

YeahRacing has the most parts to choose from. PowerHobby is the second most. Then Kyosho. YeahRacing has been releasing new parts about every month or two for a while now. There’s starting to be a lot of upgrades to choose from nowadays for the Fazer MK2. I’m hoping someone makes the lower a-arms soon!

So after getting the Yeah Racing steering arms put in making a better steering unit is gonna be some work. The arms have to be tapped so the screw goes in from the top. The bottom has no room because it pivots right on the chassis. Then whatever is used as a connector will require trimming out the chassis some so that it will fit and have room to move side to side. I have a tap set but not sure there is one small enough to work on the aluminum arms. Plus theres not really a lot of support holding the front end on the car to begin with to go trimming off plastic. Gonna keep looking though

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you, but one way or another I know you'll get it where it needs to be.

Small spaces! After putting the stabilizer on the rear end of car it left a gap. Got it fixed with a little red bling!

Are the Yeah parts close? Have you emailed them about the issue? Maybe they can help before you start hacking. 😮😂
Small taps are avail but I don't remember where I saw them.😐

You'll get it. 👍
Both stock and aluminum parts run close. It’s made for just enough clearance to move back and forth during steering
