Got another step done today. I added the Wheel Shaft Axle Set in red aluminum from PowerHobby. The red colors don’t match perfect but blend together for a good look. Here’s a look at what was installed
PowerHobby has come out with a few new pieces in the last couple months. They now have the aluminum diff cover, aluminum steering rack and aluminum brake rotors as well. YeaRacing and PowerHobbirs seem to be in a race on making aluminum hop ups for the Fazer right now. I hope a aluminum lower a-arm is in the works too!
Got the front dog bone hubs in today. Kyosho, YeahRacing and PowerHobby red anodized color are a few shades different between them all. But looks good altogether. Here’s a before and after on the front end

MmmmmmmmmmKyoshoooo reddddddddd!!!!
It looks ok together but the Kyosho red is clearly the BEST red!!!
I think the red, black and silver look nice together!
Got a few more pieces to the puzzle this week. The front diff cover from PowerHobby. And another set of brake calipers so both rear wheels have 2 calipers.
Got the PowerHobby rear diff cover in today. Not sure after comparing the front and rear cover why the front has an access for grease and the rear doesn’t. The stock Kyosho covers are the same as well.
So this is about 90% of the anodized aluminum parts for the Kyosho Fazer MK2 offered by the 3 company making aluminum parts that I’ve come across less the 12mm hex hub for the wheels. Which lose the use of the factory plastic rotors but you can add some aluminum ones. And the steering arms. I’m hoping one of them offer the a-arms and steering link in the near future
The stock steering leave a lot to be desired. YeahRacing and Kyosho are the only 2 options to upgrade this. I’m leaning towards the YeahRacing because it works with turnbuckles like I have already switched over to but the ball cup is too big and limits the steering radius. This would correct it. Stock first pic. YeahRacing 2nd pic. Kyosho 3rd pic
I’m still looking for a better alternative to the metal rod for a tighter feel and better response. Looking into possibly a turnbuckle or carbon fiber peice
