Olds, I'm with you on the mini-t. I want something to drivein the evening when it's dark and the neighbors want quiet.
For me, it wasn't so much the money I spent on the maxx, it was more just the frustration of not having enough runtime VS work ratio.
I would take the maxx out, break it, work on it for 3 hrs then break it again in 15 minutes. I had to tighten everything every 2 tanks and it just got to be no fun,
My savage I bought used, and I am working on the 4th VERY hard gallon (.21 savage) The rollbar is bent, I replaced a drive shaft (my fault) and an upright from a full throttle curb shot. Total like $12 for the shaft (uprights came with it) so I figure maybe 10 mintues of work to 1-2 hours of use on the savage that's hard to find in this hobby.
I can take out the savage, and count on 1-3 hours of straight bashing with little to no work. That's what the hobby is about, fun, and the savage packs tons of it for me.
Don't get me wrong, the maxx is fine for what it is. The first one to market, very light nice handling, the revo might make up for it.
