Speaking of Dodge Stealth, that was just a rebadged Mitsu 3000. Made by Mitsu for Dodge. If you ever see on on the street just check the vin. If it starts with a J = NOT made in the USA.

Yea they are identical cars with different styling, my dad owned a Twin Turbo Stealth back in the day, now I got a 3000GT, only mine doesn't have any turbos lol, if it did I would probably be dead right now. I don't think any were made in the US...

Anyone have $800 they don't want so I can put a Borla catback system on my car? lmao

GADawgs33, when can you get your license and get that beast on the street? Here in NH you can get your license at 16 if you do driver's ed.

yeah Mits I dont know if Id consider it in the ricer catagory since its basically a dodge. I would say that the 3000gt's are heavy as hell though. Good lookin cars though.
But no I still think anything under a 18 inch rims these days looks goofy. Even my dad is running 20's this year on his fairlane.. To each there own preferance though..

But yeah, superchargers are alot more practical and more efficent than a turbo. I have a Supercharger on my daily driver truck and couldnt be more happy with it. Back in the day I had a Rx7 (88') with rotary b13 in it with a t3 turbo and it was nice, but waiting for the spool was retarded. Go with a supercharger, ya wont regret it.

You came across implying you can't control the boost on a supercharger unlike a turbo. This simply isn't true. You can probaly up the boost quicker on an electronic boost controller but you still have to tune the car. I use a Predator tuner which allows me to savea custom tune like most tuners do. I also got a quick change pulley system which all in all I could raise or lower my boost just as quick as a turbo vehicle can.

sorry a couple of question's. What type of supercharger do you have? where did you get the quick change pulley system? if so help me out and maybe i will look into a supercharger. I love both ( supercharger and turbo) I'm not saying i don't want a Supercharger i just wanted something that could be adjusted on the fly like the SCT chip. I honestly didn't know that they had such things as quick change pulley systems.

I give you two weeks before you put the car on the road that have the town will know about whats under the hood ;) That kind of news travels quicker than bad news in the girls restroom around hotroders.

Honestly i doubt people around here would realize anything under my hood. I said before about the people around here know stuff and have nice cars but that is only true in my neighborhood. (we are kinda like rich rednecks around here). The other people that have nice cars are rich snobs and pay people to do their $hit for them. But i forgot to state before that most kids that go to my school are a bunch of dumba$$ and would never know

I guess in your part of the world people aren't fluent in 5.0's but it wouldn't be a sleeper out here. In my town you have to watch out for 7 second Bretta's and 10 second Talons.

Also, a turbo produces a great deal of heat...it would be nice to have one of those big hoods on there. Or atleast a 2.5 inch cowl.

Best of both worlds....well best of luck with ya.

Around my neighborhood i have to watch out for Old chevelles and camaros that run way deep in the 9's. we have a couple of smart ricers around here that have the 10 second talon (literally the four wheels drive will kill you if you don't stick). i was thinkin about getting a ram jet hood but yeah i could see a nice little cowl lookin pretty good on my car.

Thanks SVOray for all the help and help in the future. Post up some pics of your car i would love to see it.

Looks good. It is refreshing to see an interest in American Iron instead of the typical ricer stuff. I have always been a GM and Mopar guy, but I can respect what you are doing.

a couple of things i can't say i love them new Chevy/GM cars, but i love the old ones. also what is that motor going into and what are you looking to get out of that beast.

Also thanks to all you elders that say you like me getting into American Cars. I honestly like it when people (especially Adults) give me credit for something and really give me more respect for this type of stuff. I have always kind of been looked down on by alot of adults that think cars and stuff is a waist of money and hard work. but honestly i love getting dirty and seeing a beast like my car get alot of attention (as it is now). So thanks to all you guys for encouraging. i honestly think that this has encourged me more to get into school for mechanics. i know it may not seem like a big deal to alot of you but to me all this appreation means alot to me.

Damn thats a sweet stang. Thats awesome!!....Sure makes me miss my 88' GT.

That picture was taken back in 1989. It was a motor I built for my old IROC-Z. I got rid of that car 13 years ago. My current weekend GM ride is a Corvette Z06.

4u2nv, yes they are heavy as hell for what they are lol. Theres heavier cars out today, but they got way more to show for it.

GADawgs33 I live about 45 minutes from UNH and may be going to UNH next year, I just got accepted to the College of Engineering there.

I'm running the exact same thing as a 99-04 Ford SVT Lightning...minus 2lbs of boost. It's the same Eaton's blower and you can buy the change pullies from LFP or probaly ebay also.

Your best bet would probaly be to run a Turbo....I'm just yanking your chain some and taking up for the superchargers a little ;) Now remember just because you can adjust the boost on the fly don't mean you don't have to adjust the timing or air fuel ratio. You really need to look into a stand alone system like "F.A.S.T" or some other system. I would also look into a wideban air/fuel gauge...this is way different than those 60 dollar Autometer light shows you find people cruzing around with. The cheapest I found one was about 250.00 bux. I would also find me a tuner I could trust my car with.

Ya we got a few of those also. Anyways, out here either a stang is fast or it's slow. If it blows someones doors off, it's a sports car and should run fast. But a 1960's Pinto shouldn't run 9's and do it quitely with a 4cl :OMG:

Anyways, here is a picture of my ride...I guess it could be a sleeper seeing how I run 14.8's in it and left a few GT guys scratching their heads over it lol

ok SVOray i thought when you were talking about your supercharger you were talking about a centrifical supercharger not a twin screw. twin screw superchargers are easy to change the pullies on. centrifical superchargers you can't or at least to my knoweldge. the only twin screw supercharger for my car is a Kenne bell and not many people run those b/c they can only run up to 15 PSI. i thought yoiu were talking about a paxton or voretch supercharger that the boost is controlled by the size pulley which would require a longer or shorter belt depending on pulley size. thats also another reason i wanted a turbo.
