My engine (SMT .15CXPro) has been giving me some starting problems lately (Which, I've only just realised, was due to fuel in my pressure line
). To try and solve the starting problems I'd been tweaking the idle screw a little. Now I've got the fuel out the pressure line the engine starts and runs ok. But If I set the idle as soon as the engine is up and running, once it warns up, the idle speed seems to drop a lot, to the point where it sounds like its gonna cut out. So if I set the idle while its hot, when i come to start it up cold its revving up pretty high to where it wants to move (Would that wear my clutch out quicker?).
Any tips for me on this?
Also has anyone got any advice for keeping fuel out of the pressure line? I've got about 2 foot of new fuel line to play with 'cos I was gonna replace the original fuel and pressure lines with longer ones (I read somewhere that the optimum length for both was about 7 inches, is that true?).
any help would be great.
Thanks in advance
