Hey guys

Looking for some input, I just picked up a Kyosho Gp Ultima ST for my boy and I am wondering if any of you have had any experience with them. I know its better to get the advice before you buy but the price was right and the reviews I could find were for the most part poss. Any input would be great.

Thanks

Well......

can't help you out with the feedback on the Ultima, but I can tell you that it will use the same spur gears, diff balls and wheels as the GT. There may be more parts that interchange, but those items I AM sure of. Wish I could help you more.:sorry:

Well it seems no one has one of these trucks so I will let you know what I have found out after running it for the last few weeks. It was very easy to breakin and runs out not to bad (as long as you don't run it next to my buggy). It is not overly solid but holds up to minor bashing. The bell clutch and gears went out in the first 2 hours of running and had to be replaced, other than that it is doing ok. It is an entry level truck which is what i wanted for my boy but I think if I had to do it over again I would have spent another $60.00 to $80.00 and got a little better one (you get what you pay for). But all and all it is an ok truck and the boy is happy with it although he is still trying to steal my buggy.

I'm sure.........

you'll have some fun with it, especially for the money. If you decide later to invest in a different brand name, strongly consider getting a GT. Very durable truck with a great race winning heritage.

i have one I've had it for a while and use it for a beater truck i like how the thing jumps thugh nice and straight and lands em good pretty durable also.

Ya they do jump pretty good, hey Domination how tight do you have your slip cluth set?

anyone else have more feed back on this truck. I've been looking at ST's and I'm considering all options.

Depends on which ultima you have... do you have the sports or the Type R? I have the Type R and its flawless... The SPORTS is a entry level truck... but type r and evolution are racers! Most reviewers of the SPORTS and TYPE R give near 5 CAR rating out of 5. I have only broken one part.... a rear shock tower.

Either you spend more time crashing than racing... or you bash. I still have only broken one part on my ultima, and its nearing 3 years old.
