A 3s battery?
I bought a charger battery combo last month and have been saving it for my birthday. I went to charge the battery today and it wouldn't start the charger. It does read it as having 1.7v but the START is greyed out and so is the SMART CHARGING settings in the menu.

Yes Spektrum.

Maybe I'll try one of my other chargers if I can configure the connectors correctly.

To tell you the truth, I don't even remember charging it at all, but I must have. I got it to read a little bit and looked at the history. It said there's two cycles on the battery. I don't remember running it but I must have. I ran it till it stopped running and didn't charge it again.
Now I get a message saying Heat Protection or Temperature Protection, so I guess it thinks it's too hot to charge. ?
This is my newest 3s since it's clean and the original one is dirty from running down at my son's track. My original shows as a 3 cell so I don't know how it got down to 1.7v nor whether that is for all cells or just one.
I've sent an email to Spektrum about it, but I think I'm going to have to chalk it up to jumping on a good deal that, well, may not have been that good after all.

I checked the cell voltages on the 'bad' battery this afternoon.

I guess that #1 cell says it all.
