In a moment of weakness...

...I picked up an SCX24 Toyota 4Runner. First thing I did was swap the wheels. I temporarily added the wheels from my AX24 and some wheel weights. I have some Injora rims and tires coming for it along with a few other goodies to add some weight.

Stock out of box.

The paint is very nice, has a slight metallic sheen that doesn't show well on the photos.

Love that color! Cool looking rig. Love the upgrades as well. I have an AE Toyota crawler that is kinda cool. More like a "Mall Crawler" type of thing though.

I've almost gotten the Toyota too.... only thing holding me back is wondering how top heavy it is being hard body?
Is it a looker or can it be a performer also? I trust your opinion!

As with most SCX24's, to get the performance you have to replace at least 50% of the vehicle. I bought the 4runner because it was a looker. If your looking for performance I'd still go with Hobbyplus CR18 v3 series, Redcat Ascent18 or on the high end Furitek.

I was playing around with the 4runner in the house crawling over stuff and it is going to need a new motor. Just not enough torque. I've gotten spoiled by the other brands.
