For anyone interested in Mini Z racing, it seems a lot of other manufacturers are getting in the game. Associated now has a team kit available. I wonder how these compare to some of the others out there.

Ikr lol. Looks like a Ford GT in the front and whatever is going on in the rear. Lol.
that's the best body they could come up with?
I wonder if you can fit a true licensed Kyosho body on one of these?

i was thinking a cross between a Corvette and Ferrari. but whatever, its generically weird.

For the price they could have at least included a body, the body is not included in the kit.
All of the 1/28 stuff pricing is a bit ridiculous. But from a manufacturing background, I get it. The tooling to make these tiny parts requires very slow feedrates while machining. And machine time is the biggest cost in most manufacturing.

You can get a complete RTR Mini Z for $200 or less. But as soon as you start modding it to be competitive, you are much deeper into your pockets than these aftermarket kits, because a lot of the aftermarket kits use machined components instead of injection molded stuff I am guessing.

It's not the body doing that. It's that gawd awful paintjob.
Lmao!!! Its not body or the paint, its my eyes that are killing me!!! 🤣

Maybe it is super aerodynamic or some other reason that got by.... EVERYONE at AE.
Kyosho and aftermarket must have all the good designs locked down already. 🤔

No matter. These cars cost WAY too much money for these giant hands to love the car to death!!!

They are just too tiny for me to enjoy. ☹️

It's a niche market. Shops that have the 28th scale tracks are probably selling a ton of this stuff.

My local track races mini Z. I can't wait to get down there and see them run! 😎

The scale is cool! I love the idea of tiny cars you can toss on any floor and have fun with. A bunch of these cars racing would be a blast!!!

The ease of carrying this vs a 1/10 scale set up is worth the price. I know, the Mini market is pretty huge. 🤣
I totally understand why ppl love these cars. 😍

Yeah, I don't know. It looks cool. Price is cheap(er), the kit looks cool. But like I just said, I don't know.

I've got several "mini's". And at the end? they just tend to disappoint. Almost to like a toy level. Yes they are fun, until they break. (for the record, my local track operator/shop warned me about minis. I didn't believe him. And now I do) They are mini. And Mini? Yeah good luck on being breakproof. Accidents do happen. You can get parts. Cool. But? Yeah....

Not trying to be a Debbie Downer. But for me? 1/10th or higher. From experience. I'll keep the mini's for like road trips so the kids can have fun. But for track racing? Nah.
