I'm still around and have all my RC's cleaned up and ready to go. But I still have allot of issues with my 1:1 project.

I recently purchased another car for some donor parts.
I wanted a 5.0HO for my car and to do that I needed the engine, ECM and complete front Harness. Hopefully I'll be done by next week.
Here are pic's of the donor car and at the end is my car.

You can basically say that I fed a bird to my cat. LOL (T-bird) (cougar)

I am fairly certain that the issue you started with a FORD in the first place......:wedgie:

J/K..........nice end product there....I would not drive it......but to each his own.

I always favored the cougar over the t-bird of that era. I like the late and early model t-birds though...

I'm a mercury man as well... 4.6 though and about another ton of iron...

man that is the best hoist ever(forklift)is that your shop?

It's more like my corner.
I work for a trucking company and my boss lets me use a back corner of the warehouse to do repairs and stuff in.

UPDATE!!

I got the engine in!
I had a few wiring issue's that I had to work out but after searching and downloading countless schematics, tip's and EVTM pages, I'm finally finished.

Sorta.

The only issue I have now is that the tachometer is off, But it's not important.
Monday I'll charge the A/C (I'm spoiled and NEED A/C) and drive here home to start detailing the engine.

Here are the pic's

They don't give ya much room in there, do they? Very nice job, even on a ford (I'm a chevy and dodge fan myself).

WOW that intake manifold is huge!!! From what you show it barely clears the master cylinder!

what a mess under the hood, i had to change the engine in my f-350 flatbed and there was way more room but it was a mess of wires and hoses nice job!!!

Nice toy. I had the Body style before this one with the 5.0. Great engine!

Thats pretty sweet man. I hate wireing cars though. At school for colledge we had to learn wireing and I was lost with this stuff. I'm a old school motor guy, and a K.I.S.S.(keep it simple stupid) fan myself. Nice work though, bet its fun to drive.

3.27 posi unit, full independent suspension.

The T bird had 2.73 open unit with independent suspension.

How much HP you think they will hold? Thinking my smallblock S-10 needs independent rear, heard these cars had the ind.rear but have yet to find anyone who knows anything about them.I'm not concernd with cv/u joint strength rather than the diff its self.Do you happen to know ring gear size?Or if there are any companies making stronger interals for the chunk, you said you had a posi, factory or upgrade?I need it to handle about 400flywheel horses through a 6speed.I like to pop the clutch alot.

mine has a 8.8 ring gear and was a factory ordered option along with the 4 wheel disk anti lock brakes.

for you're S10.. are you sure you're not thinking of a ford 9 inch nodular rear that you would need? I have never heard of anybody putting Independent rear suspension in a pick up. You would have to redesign the frame for that to work.

Ya, I'm looking to backhalf it,no biggie, the 9" modular is an awsome rearend, but it also has a hefty $$$$$$. Looking for the shadetree approach.

Update
I had to pull the engine again and replace it with a rebuilt unit.
The engine I put in originally broke a valve spring and the valve fell in the cylinder at about 2000RPM.
But now I have a nice rebuilt engine with a 3 year warranty.

I finally got around to some small detailing under the hood. (Going to have some polished aluminum panels made up) I bought the car to State inspection (with fingers crossed) and PASSED without a problem. After I left inspection I immediately re-tinted my front windows and I also had a sticker made for the back window to piss off the Camaro guy’s around my area. LOL (Remember “Chevy the heart beat of America”)

Now hopefully I’ll have time to get the savage up and running this weekend so I can break it. LOL
